okay.... so maybe this is a typical biking problem??

I went a little overboard when we finally got a nice weekend here and put in about 16 hours of hard riding in 2 days.

The longest I'd been out on the bike before this was like 10 mins.

soooo.... problem is my right hand is now like almost numb. I can barely use my thumb!! When I bend my wrist it is a lot worse. So things that require fine motor skills like using utensils, doing buttons etc are extremely difficult.

Should I be concerned enough to go see my doctor??

I would like to eat with a fork again and button up my blouse.

 

you should probably get one of those braces they sell at cvs and wear it for a couple of days but it is nothing to worry about it happens because of the position.

 

You have to tone the muscles in your shouldes and arms to ride a sports bike for long periods of time. On most sportbikes, you are supporting your upper torso with your arms and wrists. You have to start out with short rides and build up to long rides when you are an out of shape newb
You have just stressed your arms and wrists and it will go away. By the way, dont spank the monkey for two weeks until you wrists heal up

 

Congrats! on your first long rides. Sorry to hear about your hand. Like the ones before me said. It will be fine in time Happen to most. If not in four or five days. then you might want to see someone about it.
