What do you guys think...

RE: What do you guys think...
the key items on a trip like that are, check all rubber on the bike (tires and hoses) for any sign of dry rotting - if they look too old just replace (hoses are cheap).
make sure you don't have any leaks.
make sure you have enough brake pad left
adjust the clutch so you know you have plenty of that left (don't use it much on the highway anyways)
change the oil.
with that all checked out i'd have no worried about a road trip.
i'm taking my 95 zx6r with 17000 miles to indianapolis from southern maryland in sept. it'd be fine.

well i think you guys talked me into it.... im going to try to work it out so i can ride down and have the rest of the bunch follow me, at least for most of the way... the trip is still a couple months away so i have plenty of time to get it all together. Thanks for the support.

That bike looks considerably more comfortable than your other. I think you'd be fine on it. Just make sure it's in good shape, get on it, and go!

Right on EMS. A 9 hr ride is not bad and is pretty enjoyable if your tank gets refilled every 2 hrs so that you can take a break.
Yes, you will know your ride pretty well by the time you take your trip.

The ride should be great fun, make sure you have attire for any sudden change in weather,if the cruiser is comfortable, you should have no problem. I took a ride from so cal, all the way to oregon border without getting off of my ride(81 HD fatbob). It has the most comfortable seat, was not sore at all.And yes I stayed on getting gas,and food, went through dri-thru's.took 17 hrs up,and 23 hrs down, took coast all the way home with lots of stops.Enjoy the trip and take lots of pics.
