I received a pm from someone who said they were an admin and said that there was a virus detected or something like that and gave me a website to go to.


Anyone else get this. Pretty sure its a spam

It is, dont click on anything like that.... i got it too. We are trying to keep them banned.

 

I thought it was funny because I haven't been on here almost a year. So if it was a virus alert that took a year to get to me then I don't put that at a high priority!

 

I got it also. How could someone else notice a virus alert on my PC? The deletion warning and the threat to notify my IP were obvious red flags. A quick google search on "security tool" turns up dozens of references to the virus it gives you and how to remove it.

I am a moderator from another site its a spammer I banned him 4 times in one day so we finally shut down the I.P address. I use this site to check I.P addresses http://www.stopforumspam.com/
