Read that too when I recieved the issue a few weeks ago. Threw it right in the garbage. Only reason I have a membership is for racing anyway. It's a crap free issue written by a bunch of idiots.

What a load of Sh*t. This is just about as useless as the seat belt andhelmet laws or the now popular smoking laws. Don't get me wrong I gear up everytime I get on the bike and when I sit in my car the seat belt is always on. I am smart enough to know if I am on my bike and wreck my head is not going to withstand blow from the concrete road. However if some dumbass wants to ride without a helmet that should be his choice, not the goverments. Same with seat belts to a certain age like 18. I don't think a law like this would ever get passed, however I do cringe everytime I read someting like this.

When are these people going to realize that sportbikes are not more dangerous than cruisers. If you hit a tree at 80 mph on a cruiser, you are just as dead as you are if you hit it on a sportbike. It's not the bike, it's the rider. They also talk about a top speed cap. The problem with that is that there already is a top speed cap. I believe it's 187 mph, but I could be wrong. I hate when organizations decide they don't like a product, and they'll use flawed and inacurate data to try and get the product removed from the market. It's shady, it's bullsh*t, and I'm not going to stand for it. I'm not too concerned about it though, I don't see it happening.
