that's funny man!! they trust you with a gun huh? sheeit all they give me is a flashlight and send me into the dark saying 'good luck'!! lol

i'm an officer also but i'm at a powerplant and do rounds outside. i can relate to your floors your creeped out about because i have an area where i move from inside the compound out and it's creepy. we're in a very secluded area aside from a small neighborhood just outside the gate, no lighting (i work graveyard), armed with a flashlight lol, and while i'm opening and closing the gate i have to get out of the truck and physically unlock the gate with my back turned to everything. it's just a creepy area but i have yet to see anyone out there....yet.

the worst is when your out in the dark, silent, creepy, and a damn coyote or something runs through the trees or by the gate. talk about the beginning of a bad horror movie!!!

 

u should carry firecrackers or something, maybe even small flares or something to toss out into the dark lol. get some of those military "screamers" and toss one of those out into the dark and i guarantee that anyone hiding to spook you will soil themselves lol!!!
