saturday ride up to hwy 36
Well saturday I meet up with 10 other rides from this area to go for a full day of riding. I left my house at 6 am. I didn't get home till 1030pm. I ended the day with about 650-660 or so miles. Here are some pics.
Here is the map for the days ride
So about 6 or so of us meet up in near fairfield then rode out to meet the others at williows
Then we were off with the full group on our way. Our next stop was Red bluff just out side of hwy 36 at this point I notice my front break was feeling kind of soft and when I squezed the break it would come all the way to the throttle. So I took a look at it and noticed the adjustment wheel had fallen off.[:'(]. Well nothing some zip ties wont fix
Good as new
Here is a pic from that stop in red bluff.
When we hit 36 we broke up into smaller groups so faster rides wont be slowed down and slower riders wont be getting in over their heads. Here is a pic from a stop we made on 36 to strech our legs
Thenall thegroupsmeet up for lunch after riding around some more on 36
Then it was back on 36 for more twisty fun. I didn't get pics of the road. I was to busy enjoying the corners. I have to say it is the best road I have ever been on. Plus there isn't much traffic. After finishing 36 it was off to 101. We all stoped at a gas station because from this point some were going to cut out early and head home. here is a group shot
then some misc shots from the gas station.
So the group I stayed with continued with the original plan. So we go headed south on 101 to were hwy 1 starts. Oh man the top of hwy 1 is unreal. The pavement is perfect very little traffic and you are railing around some sweet twistys in a red wood forest that opens up to a coastal cliff. So about 1 hour out side of fort brag we stop to relax and enjoy the view
Then the person who set up the group ride goes over the next section were we will be stoping for gas in fort brag
So we fill up and head out for dinner at at little place on the end of hwy 128 in cloverdale.
Then we were off on our way home. Man my legs are still sore. It was well worth it. Just thought I would share the trip with every one.

RE: saturday ride up to hwy 36
I was thinking if you wanted to ride 36 some time we could meet up near your place take hwy 1 from the start in marin all the way to where hwy 1 ends in legitt then hop on 101 north to 36 then take 5 back down to 80 to 680 and home. It would be 700 or so miles round trip. Man hwy 1 up north is sooo much better then the south part of hwy 1

right on asz!! looks like a good ride.
