The sad fate of New Yorks motorcycle graveyard
It is really a shame that all of those old bikes were just hauled off in dumpsters!
Years ago there used to be a multi bike dealer here in Western
NY known as Walter Kohl's. It was located on Rt, 78 in
Lockport. Thru the years he collected more bikes than you have
ever seen in one place. A number of antique bikes were still there, such as, Ariel, Matchless, BSA's and others when he died
a few years ago, but left a giant warehouse full
of all kinds of bikes. The building was finely condemned,
tore down and taken away. The pic's tell the story. Sad.
