yeap, OP is right on point w the theory. I work with SO many service emmbers that feel like they're invincible. Can't say I blame them. My guy's planning on a bike when he gets home. Scares the crap outta me bc he's never ridden and I can't convince him right now that a GSXR600 isn't the way to go for a firsty. I have a few mos left to do so. :P

Like firstninja said it really depends on the person. My first bike ever was a 636. I had done a little riding before and was in all honesty a little worried about starting off with it. However I was very careful and really got to know my bike well before I started exploring the bikes potential. On the flip side I have met some people who didn't belong on a bike at all!
