So Deric, how is driving that thing? Is it like a Motorcycle Cadillac? I've been thinking it might be nice to get a bigger bike for touring one day. I just don't know how well I could handle a beast like that. I love my KLX for around town stuff and the occassional dirt so I would never get rid of it. But the thought of a bigger bike would be nice. Maybe I'll look at more of a commuter bike in the 750 range and put saddle bags on it.

The ride looked good though. Sucked about that accident. There was one in Sac yesterday too. Guy was weaving in and out of traffic on a CBR with his girlfriend and a car pulled out and he hit the front brake too hard launching them. She died, he's injured and will be guilt ridden for the rest of his life. Young and stupid, he was like 21.

That's always sad to hear. There are so many situations that can cause what we all love to turn bad. But we can control some of it. As far as the bike goes its so awesome. It's like it was meant for cornering. And the power is amazing! My wife loves riding with me. I need to make out a will though. I don't like to think about it but its the reality of the hobby.

The pics were great and congrats on the ride. But a Red Blotch appeared on every single photo! Must be your camera.

All that scenery, and sunshine to boot. Makes for a great day on the west side.

Absolutely agree. Jeff's rules:
1. Never go faster (in a given environment) than you can stop, if you need to.
2. Slow the hell down.
3. There is an idiot in that next corner....every one of them.
4. No distractions; be alert.
5. Use the bike's power defensively; not offensively.

Nice report, Deejer.
