a whole lot cheaper than the suberban!!! I know the 05-636 is very comfy on long rides...1000 plus miles in a day while in Germany...

I've rode hours on the 7 without any ill effects, but no more than 2 hours straight highway time. Cant imagine what 17 hours would be like even with an overnight in the middle. But I'll find out eventually.

when going cross country back in the day during my gixxer year I would ride about 18 hours a day...

I kept small snacks like jelly beans or small cereal bits like capn crunch in my tank bag...camel pack with water...I never used a throttle lock...when my right arm got tired I would stretch across with my left for a couple minutes...once at your cruising speed adjust your wrist so it is straight...stand up on the pegs for stretching...loading - ricerocketracks.com... I traveled at night to avoid most traffic and took my breaks during the rush hours...

Great advice, traveling at night helps with the heat too, but That last hour just before the sun comes up is deadly

I would stop at McD's for a small snack and coffee to get me the last couple of hours before I pass out for a few hours...
