I'm glad I never started smoking. Both of my parents died due to smoking related health issues.

Wish I could help you but I also enjoy having a smoke after a ride, rock climbing, sex, paying bills, eating, drinking, etc. Funny or tragic thing is I didn't start until I was 40, always looked down on people that did. Nothing more enlightening than becoming what you despise.

Hey Eric, while I never tried smoking, I do know what you are going through. My mom smoked the whole time she was pregnant with me until I was 18, and they say for every 4 cigarettes someone smokes near you, you are smoking one, even if you don't smoke. My mom struggled with that addiction for nearly 20 years, and now she is the worst if she even smells smoke, she's ready to make a scene. Sorry you are struggling with this, and I really hope you kick the habit. One thing I will tell you is that in order to stop doing something, you have to fill that void with something else, preferably something good. Like buying a KLX and getting out and discovering the back roads like I did today. Man it felt good to ride. I put 50 miles on my bike just tooling around. Oh back on topic, good luck man.

Glad I never tried it either.

My secretary took that prescription drug that is supposed to help. Surprisingly, it helped her a lot! I don't think she has had a cigarette now in several months.

Go to the doctor and get a prescription called chantex, or chantix, cant remember how to spell it but I know a lot of people that has been successful with the stuff. It is the best thing going for quitting smoking. I have it and am planning to quit myself. I only hope I dont kill somebody when I start craving a smoke.

Thanks for the support everyone! Still a little sick, so now it's 2 days going strong. I've never went this long before. Your right Talca, if I do quit that's like an extra bike payment a month. But I could snap any moment!..
