You should be golden with any worries on CO. Crap, used to tune my rides in the kitchen with the windows open before I got married with kids.
edit: My cooking was more dangerous than any CO problem.

Depending on the size of your house you could leave it running for probably 15 minutes or so. If its not running there is no problem. Although CO is tasteless colorless and odorless, its effects are easy to figure out. As with any oxygen deprivation look for sleepyness, dizzyness, or a sense of euphoria. Basically anything abnormal shut it off and open a window, but there is really no reason for it to be running, and if its not running its not emiting CO, so there is really nothing to be worried about. But if the kids knock it over and spill gas on the carpet, you will have to cuddle with the dogs to keep warm.

Damn FL riders..... if its in the high 40's i still ride.... low 40's is when i draw the line, i dont have a street helmet or anything, just a motocross style helmet, and no really thick winter riding gloves.... if i had the right gear id ride all the time....

I haven't been riding since mid December here. After the weather continually dropped below 30F, I had to give it up. But if it stays above 30F with no ice or snow, I'm good to go.

What's the average low at in Florida right now anyway?
