Yea I was reading about that with the surplus ammo. They said its ok to use as long as you clean it after firing. I'll check with him on the barrel

I have an arsenal of surplus weapons and bought most of them still packed in cosmoline,I'm onto a 30cal carbine ,2 1911 45's and a p38 from one of my older customers whose husband passed away.I hope I can get them all for a good price,I got along pretty good with her husband and she had me over to pull aside the ones I was interested in and now I have to talk to her son about $$$$

Good luck with that. I wonder how hard it would be to get a M1 Garand.

We bought a couple of those chipmunk guns for when our boys were little. They are good quality and priced for fun!

M1's are really easy to get, my boss buys them from government surplus I think, still packedin the cosmo from when they were refurbished. I'll ask him where he gets them exactly tomorrow at work and let you know. I want a few rifles

-M4 Carbine with rails, and an ACOG
-Reminton 700 w/ leupold sight
-Barret.50 cal

...I'm sure I'll think of others after I post this

Man the popularity of the Mosin sure has grown in recent years. I have a Norinco SKS that I love as a backup for my AR. Only problem I've had with the sks is feeding issues. They need to be cleaned every 2-300 rounds it seems.

22s are a lot of fun, low buck ammo. Shoot the snot out of them. I got a lever action Henry, just because it was like what I used to see as a kid on all the cowboy shows of the 50s.

Military rifles aren't always expensive. A friend got an old Russian army rifle w/bayonet for $120 at a gun show. Got it just because of the history. He has others he shoots.
