Ok I know this guy that swears up and down that his 650 will smoke my 636. I think he said it was a 04 EX duno for sure.
I don’t know anything about the 650s but aren’t they more like a cruiser and a sport bike combined?
What is the hp output on the 650s?
Don’t they weigh a little more?

I’m not knocking the 650s but he is trying to one up me, and I would like to know a little more about his bike. I kind of want to put him in his place with out being an a$$.

 

your 636 will smoke the 650!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My 1200 buell gets beat by 056r's 636. the top end on your 636 is unbelievable.I know from experience also. I had an 05 636 and it is fast as hell.

If hes tha cocky, ask him to lay some $$$ on the line.

They max out at 120mph!!! you max out at 155-160 and you will get there alot faster!!!

 

I am surprised that the 636 can beat your Buell. Is 056r's 636 modded? Or is your gearing on your Buell just not suited for high speed?

 

I am not even sure what an 04 EX 650 is?
I have not riden the buell or a 6r yet, so am curious on that also.

 

The buells gearing is what is holding it back, up around 110-115 is where the 636 starts to pull away. 120 and i knew it was over. He had about 5 car lenghts on me by then. Im not proud, i will admit i got beat.

 

as for the 650 hes talking about, i was assuming that it was the ninja 650r. Atleast i hope.[8D]

 

I got my 04 636 to 150 or at least the speedo said 150 it was in the top of 5th gear. 636's have some crazy top end power. I rarely get my bike into the 12k+ rpm range. When I do its scary fast. If i am not mistaken (i probly am) arn't the ninja 650's like kawis answer to the sv650 a v twin motor? I would if that is correct the 650 would have about the same chance of beating you as a sv650 would. Also is he refering to smoking you in a stright line or in the twistys? If its twistys then its all on the rider. Ive seen some damn good riders on sv650's passing liter bikes there they are nothing on some of the twistys here in CA

 

The 650 has more torque for a twin they will take you off the line but not for long so watch what you bet on

 

if i were riding a a ninja 650r or a ex 500 and nemo was riding his 636, id smoke his ***. [sm=happy046.gif]but seriously, you shouldnt have a problem taking that other bike out.
