Monday I hung the bracket

And pulled the wire and cut the hole for the cables coming in. These are speaker wires getting ready to be pulled down to the bottom box that will be cut in tomorrow.

Man I hate being up in the attic, I should have worn a mask, regular insulation and then a foot of the blown in, just reaching for the wire started a dust cloud. I didn't think I was going to make it out.

Still got a lot of work to do. I just realized tonight that my Dish receiver doesn't have an HDMI connection, so now what? I paid a lot of money for an HDTV so what do I do now? Any thoughts?

Hey Deej, its lookin good! Hdmi needed for 1080p, if your'e o.k. with 1080i you can use component video (green, red, blue).
With DISH they offer Turbo HD that does have 1080p content. Only other 1080p source now is Blu-ray (PS3).
So... if I were you I would run an HDMI, Component, CAT5, and regular A/V cable(red, white, yellow) from your home run to behind tv. This should cover all the bases.
I install for a living, if you have any ?'s, I would be happy to help!

I'm actually thinking of calling Direct TV and starting fresh with 4 new receivers and an HD/DVR for the front room. I can get all 4 rooms hooked up with a decent package and the HD/DVR and 80 HD channels for around $80.00 a month. I'm paying $60.00 right now for dish and no HD channels.

I will await to see the final installation. In the mean time the sanyo remote looks simpler to operate! lol
