It's a little tougher when you knowthe elk in question and its not just some random elk running around in the forest. S/he(not sure which it was) used to show up on a daily basis when we were working in that section of the woods. Once you get to know the little guy/gal its a little tougher to think of him/her as dinner meat.

It did have friends that were bigger and just as appetizing lookingbut we were supposed to be working not looking for food so we left them alone.

That picture got taken when I drove out there on my own timeon a week-endto show the baby to my girlfriend at the time, actually.

haha, i just got a curel idea


get some meat (any will do) and make a huge meal out of it all, serve it to your gf like a romantic thing. then when she finishes ask her "remember tat elk i showed you? well.."[&:][&:]

And I have KC to thank for that.

I'd considered pheasant under glass as a possible lure but the pheasants, well actually they were girls on a train who I was going to use in the pheasant's place, got off at a different stop than meso I that idea flopped.

The girls were quite attractive, certainly much more so than pheasants, at least to my mind. Perhaps, though, she'd prefer a different gender.
