Default Kawasaki to withdraw from Moto GP?

I read this somewhere and cannot believe it. Has anybody else heard this? I think it is due to a low record of wins, and the economy from what I remember reading.
If it is true, this really sucks!
The factory was supposed to announce this on January 5th, but I have not heard an update on their final decision.
WTF over?
