This may be one of those "left field" kind of posts (or a srobak post!), but here goes.
The other day, I ordered something and it came in the mail. No big deal, right? However, it was from a company that I trust and have a long, positive history with. The item wasn't as advertised; let's say it was advertised as 'bronze" and what I GOT was some zinc-bronze alloy piece of crap. So, I decided to try to contact this company through an e-mail, to maturely express my disappointment. There is no "contact" via e-mail on their website, which really tells me all I need to know. I'm NOT calling them on my dime at work, during "regular business hours."
The bottom line is this: I'm pissed. As a regular (or "irregular") on this site, I want to make CLEAR to every poster, that if I offer some advice or comment or trouble-shooting help, and if you have any question or issue with what I'm offering, send me a PM or e-mail or CALL ME, and I'll be glad to explain myself. I'm sick and tired of companies (and people) who offer or sell stuff and it's crap! Then, there's no reasonable way to dialogue with them because you're only one little fish. If I invite you to "stop by," that's what I mean; offer's good anytime. If I suggest something and it's off base, call me out on it!
Folks, this site is a tremendous resource for Kaw's ONLY if we can rely on each other to be honest. I've found this site to have many honest people willing to help each other, and that's why I stick around. It's not trash talk and BS. THANKS for that!
Sorry to vent, but I've come to really like this site and the people on it.

 

Venting is good jeff and glad that you have stuck around for so long.

Since you have dealt with this company in the past with good luck, a phone call is in order it seems. You need to use mine? No escort service calls either! lol

Reminds me of trying to do business calls in the 80's and 90's during my lunch breaks when I did not have a computer and emails.

Take two aspirin, two brews and call me in the morning! hahaha

edit: We need a person like you in Gen Tech more often.

sorry about the bad experience, there are a few companies that i wont deal with anymore and it does not really hurt them but it helps me.

 

+1 jeff, thats why im on here all the time. good peeps lots o knowledge what more could you want? cold beer maybe some nakid chics but can't have everything...lol thanx for contributions too jeff!

 

Where do I fit in? Tell us how you really feel. Straight shooter, I like that.

Footnote on my original post. I sent an e-mail directly to the owner expressing my disappointment. I then told her to take me off the contact list; I wasn't doing business with them anymore. JRock, it was the right item, but made absolutely wrong. That's not only misleading, but dangerous; THAT's what honks me.
Burt Munro (sp?) was much like my grandfather; same garage, same ingenuity, same bullheaded spirit. I get it honestly.
