I start Chemo on Monday
I have Predominant Hodgkin's Lymphoma. A Cancer that is very treatable. They tell me that Chemo Will be for at least 4 months
Just wanted to know if any one else has gone through Chemo and what side affects you had. I am getting a little nervous. Any tips on keeping my mind off of it will be helpfull.

You can beat it, cmott. A buddy of mine went through chemo treatment a few years ago. Everyone's experience is probably a little different, but he said that the nausea wasn't too horrible, but that soon after treatments, food tasted nasty and metallic and he lost his appetite. He said the first few weren't too bad, but as time went on, it became pretty depressing going in for treatments because of how it made him feel for some time afterwards. I'm sure there are a lot worse effects, but there's a bunch of different treatment medicines (poisons, really) and they likely affect different people in different ways. Keep your head up with a positive attitude and remember that suffering through the chemo treatments are what will make you win out in the long run. There are a lot of cancer survivors out there these days, the medicines and treatments are a long ways from what they were 20 or even 10 years ago. Keep us posted.

Hang in there, C!!! You'll do fine. Like these guys have said^, keep a positive attitude. Tell yourself "it's treatable, and I'm treating it" and fight on through. We care; we want updates. You can do this!

Thanks for all the Advise and encouragement. My wife started this webpage for me. She started to write it as if it was me but I told here since it is her project she should just go about it in her point of view. All updates on it and if you goto the journal it will have write ups on significant stuff. The latest starts at the top.
