Default Gun safety

Ok so i know there are a few police and several gun owners on this site. I have alittle experince with guns and gun safety but im getting a new handgun and am wondering how people keep them safe and locked away from a4 yr old yet still accesible in a emergency. wont do me alot of good in the middle of the night if i gotta fumble around with keys and lockboxes

keep it high and keep a false clip in it, and keep the loaded clips in another high place. i dowbt shell be able to find the gun, drop the false clip out, fine the real ones, put one in right, *** it, take the safety off and shoot it at someone.

Up high with the ammo somewhere else, or in a lock box. Or get a mean dog, that will distract the robber long enough so you canget your gun out of the safe.

I've got one of these:

Click link for gun box >>>> LINK

Comes with a key, and you can program a finger combination to open it quickly.

Sorry I was just making the thread not so wide. Thanks
