Grand Canyon or Bust!!!
Well Sunday the 26th I leave for Portland, then its onto the Grand Canyon. 8 days on a bike camping with my cousin. I guess you could call this the 3rd annual two cousions epic ride! Any last words of wisdom? And no its not on the KLX, my butt would fall off and the motor would blow up. LOL Here is the route.

Its the Kawasaki Concours, zg1000, 108 horsepower, sucka rips, but gets 45mpg if I dont ride like a retard. Very comfortable, relaxed. Can really put some miles on it. I woulda bought an ST1000, but this was the right deal at the right time.

Enjoy the ride
I was in Arizona last July, and took a GoldWing up to the Grand Canyon, then over towards Vegas.
Beautiful roads around there, fantastic riding, but the wind, WTF is with that?? LOL. Seriously, at one point I spent 2 hours at what felt like a 45 degree angle, and unable to relax for even a second. I think I check the weather, and it was sustained winds at 20-30 knots, with gusts up to 45. OMFG ! And then the heat, it was 117 in Phoenix when we headed out of the metro, but it dropped to the low 90's up there in elevation.
Be prepared for an awesome ride though, As much as it was challenging both mentally and physically, I loved every bit of it and would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
I know you have your trip well planned and mapped out, but, if you find you have a few extra hours when your near Flagstaff, try to drop south into Sedona, I have been there 8 times over the years, and think its one of the most beautiful places on earth. Its amazing there.
Have fun, be safe. Watch out for the tar snakes
