That bad boy dressed out at 30lbs today. A couple of roosters made the freezer today as well.

The other Tom is babysitting the 2 youngins for the time being. Had a helluva time trying to find something suitable to scald him (the one in the freezer that is). All 3 of my freezers are full now. So that saved the other Tom for the time being.

Nice! I have always wanted to go turkey hunting and eat a fresh bird.
How did you do the little fellows in, axe or just a snap of the neck?

I can picture holding him and having someone stretch its neck out over a log and slam goes the hatchet.
Bet he has to have some pretty big spurs on him though that could cause some damage.

+1 on the spurs. Just used the chop block. I had to be carefull when butchering because my wife is not used to killing/eating animals off of the farm. Everything to her is considered a pet.
