deej, you and i are friends if you are a gun nut. i own 17 firearms, how many do you own?

evil - i have 3 carry pieces that i rotate, usually weekly, dpending on where i am going. those 3 pieces are:

-Glock 19
-Glock26
-Smith and Wesson 642 snub .38 Special +P

[both the glock 19 & 26 are chambered for the Luger 9x19mm cartridge]
I'm not really into guns, I like mine, but I hate what bad people do with them. I bought the 44 mag as a dual purpose gun, sort of like the bike, I could carry it while riding out on the trails and whatnot, but I can also use it for hunting. Although you have to be pretty steady and skilled to shoot with a pistol, and I think I have a lot to learn. What I didn't buy the gun for was protection against another person. If someone broke into my house and had a gun and said they were taking everything, I would help them load it up, nothing is worth getting shot over. Now if they went after my family, then we have a problem, but because I keep the gun double locked, the chances of me getting to it first is pretty low, that's why I have this as a backup.

Riding jacket pocket is good, believe it or not - so is IWB/SOB, of course one of the best is a shoulder rig, since you are wearing your jacket anyhow. Fanny pack is always an option when riding as well. Personally - since my state allowed it - I would actually, often wear a regular old holster... certainly gets people's attention - and damn cagers for sure think twice about screwing with you.

When riding the canyons or the dessert I always take a gun. If I am staying overnight anywhere away from my house I take a gun.
Only the vulnerable get taken advantage of, I am camping this weekend at the beach and will be packing. Pray fro surf
