Default Feeling a Nostalgia Attack

As I sit here, listening to Tesla's "Great Radio Controversy" and watching the video to Chrissy Steele's "Love You 'Till It Hurts" I am struck by a sadness at days gone by. I remember rushing home to watch Lillian Axe and Tora Tora on Headbangers Ball. Riding around with my father in his brand new 1984 Pontiac Fiero blasting Aldo Nova's "Fantasy" and Autograph's "Turn Up The Radio" through those high teck speakers mounted in the headrest. Fast forward a few years and it was a Fiat Spider with the top down listening to Def Leppard and Firehouse. I know I'm not the only one that misses those days.

Aldo Nova? OMG!!! I swear this is true, but I know a guy that knows the base player who was with Aldo Nova back in the day, he actually lives up in Quebec Canada. I also know the guy that was the band manager for Quarterflash if anyone remembers that band. Good times.

I had a Fiero, and dated a girl once who had one too. Fun car.

Saw Lillian Axe a few times in concert in Detroit.

I still play Quarterflash, Aldo Nova, Def Leppard, Firehouse, Warrant, Slaughter, Winger, Donny Iris, Kix, Skid Row, Poison, Foreigner, Journey, Europe, Queensryche, Motley Crue, Kiss, Jovi, Autograph, Cheap Trick, Cinderella, Dio, Zebra, LA Guns, Danger Danger, Robert Plant, Yes, Triumph, Night Ranger, Badlands, other similar big hair and big guitar music... That is pretty much all my iPod is filled with... a virtual Big Hair Band Jukebox.

When I need a change I listen to some Howard Jones (un-disputed king of soundtrack songs in 80's movies), Phil Collins, Genesis, Expose (shut up - they were hotties), Young MC, Rob Base, Tone Loc, Positive K, Dr. Dre, Snow, Jan Hammer's Miami Vice tunes, Russ Ballard ( http://youtube.com/watch?v=bZV-pGFpAts )...
