Default Direct TV or Dish Network?

I'm on the verge of switching to satellite from cable. However, choosing between Dish or Direct TVis a difficult decision. I have heard Dish has fewer problems, but Direct looks to have more programming options. I also want a good amount of HD channels which Direct TV has way more of. So for all you peoples who use satellite, what's my best choice?

direct tv all the way, their customer service is awesome.

also you only have to install one antenna, dish network in some cases has to install 2 antennas

Stick with cable... high speed internet ftw! Local channels (far more than either dish) ftw! Local support for problems that you might have ftw!

I like my high speed net, but I don't watch local channels I would switch to sat if I wasnt in an apartment and could get high speed cheap. I hate midcontinent, Weekly tests of the emergency broad cast system every day, multiple times, and montly tests every week. I like to hear my ****ing show

That's not midcontinent's fault. That stuff is regulated by county emergency services - and happens on radio, broadcast tv, and cable tv all at the same time. Seems a bit excessive if it is daily though... in Chicagoland it happens usually at about 1 or 2am once a week, with an occassional monthly daytime test. Might want to contact your county emergency services and find out how to get the test times changed.

Had dish before and it seemed like the weather relly played a factor by losing signal, but it was free so yeah.
