Default delyaed riding this year :(

Well, I took my bike in for the valve adjustment - and found out that I have a leaking head gasket.

Yay.

Dude, that sucks. I bet you're pretty [:@]. I hope you can get that fixed soon. The only thing worse than having no bike is having a bike that isn't running.

Just more money I wasn't planning to spend. I am already putting sprockets and chain on it, and of course every year there is the brake fluid, plugs, air filter, etc... and the reason I took it in was for the valve adjustment which was going to be $$ to begin with. Now this...

srobak, you don't wrench your own bike? I could never take my bike to a dealer.

I don't wrench mine either. It's odd, I never take my car anywhere to get it worked on, I do it all myself. But when it comes to my bikes, I just don't know enough about them.

I do the same thing you do. I work on cars for a living, but when it comes to my bike, I don't touch it!
I know I can, just don't know enough about them yet (except to ride). I will be investing in a service manual in the near future.

That's true, it could be smack in the middle of riding season! Way to find the bright side Drag.
