Default Deej actually worked yesterday!

Had our annual fire system testing along with all of our backflows. Well the landscape sprinkler double check failed, and its the only one I have up here that doesn't have replaceable seats. So after 17 years it was time to replace it with a Wilkins 950XL.

The new one should be here in a few days. I'm also going to raise that puppy up a foot, it was sitting right on the ground.

Congrats for earning your keep, at least for a day!

I used to install sprinkler systems and kind of miss it.

What do you mean raise it up a foot???? Dig a little deeper so that the backflow is not resting on the dirt.... or was that for another Days' work? lol

No it needs to be raised up and since I have to replace it anyway this is a good time to do it. It's too far down to test and repair.

You need to put it in a pre cast hand hole, and leave it deep so it wont freeze! Didn't I teach you anything

It has a drain, you shut off the valve and drain everything.

(Er....I think the real problem is, you don't have enough fittings in that line...)
