Man Iv'e been fighting snow for the last 1 1/2 weeks. It is really open where I live and it's been really cold, so the snow drifts my driveway over even when it doesn't snow. At least it got warm enough yesterday to glaze it over so now it wont drift.
I am going to buy a front end loader before next winter!

One answer:
I am actually taking a bunch of my riding pals for their first ever snowmobile trip in a few weeks. It is gonna be a freakin blast, and it is the only way to maintain sanity while waiting for the snow to melt.

Man there areso many open fields around here, that the sleds have been out for the last three or four weeks. They even have snowmobile poker runs! But there has been a lot of people getting hurt around here. They will be going along at 70 mph, and hit a ditch that they didn't know was there. One guy clipped an outcropping of snow doing 80 mph and there was a 3" broken off branch in it which speared him through the gut and killed him. It seems like they are more dangerous than bikes from what I have seen.
I know, bikes are dangerous too, but at least you can see what your rolling on!

That's why I stick to the hundreds of miles of groomed, marked, technical trails in the UP, or else go out on the lakes.
Bikes are high maintenance too :P
I don't know that I would go and suggest you buy a sled... but don't be adverse to renting one a couple times a year. I have a group of 6 going on this trip and we are all renting.
