RE: Character
OK OK, this may get some groans, but bear with me.
I'd probably go with "Message in a Bottle" or that other Coast Guard swimmer movie Kevin Costner was in. He's just a talented, quiet guy who doesn't go looking for a fight, but gets the job done when necessary, and is just a decent human being who prefers to be left alone.
I'm not a big fan of movies that make people look stupid. There are plenty of them out there already. (Humor is one thing, but the "let's see howshamelessly ignorant I can act to make people laugh" is something else. Right down there with foul-mouth, cheap laugh whoring, to me.)
However, some days, I feel like Michael Douglas in "Falling Down." What a classic.

Hey Kathy, first you wanted to us to list our bragging rights, and now this? Is this some sort of interview elimination process? Just messing with ya K Seriously I always relate to anyone that is being picked on in any movie, I can't wait until the bully gets whacked. But I guess that's probably too general and is a common character relation that a lot of us feel. So if I had to narrow it down I guess I would have to say John Wayne, because he always did the right thing, and that's something I always try to do.

I'd have to say John Cusacks character "Rob" in High Fidelity. Why? The movie is a humorous albeit shallow insight into the male psyche plus in the movie he runs his business like I do mine - with minor disdain and distracted and cynical enthusiasm!
And yes Deej, I think KC is working on here psych thesis and we're her test subjects!
