The distress call is brutal. I wonder how the one guy is doing? I feel for his family and friends. This is so sad.[&:]
Wow, I've heard those calls before. Extra fast response thou...IMHO.

Deej, do people regularly take a 22' boat offshore 28 mile in the pacific northwest? That seems extra risky....you guys have some WAAAY serious seas and COLD water.

Sad for the man that perished but, lucky for the other two that a charter boat saw them flip and picked them up.....otherwise all three would be dead.

Sad to say but this should be celebration for the two that survived......statically all three should be dead.

Actually it is common to see a multitude of boats that size up to and sometimes beyond the 50 mile mark. I was showing my wife all of the pictures and the news reports, and it started to hit her. You see up until a few years ago, her dad and brother could very well have been this boat today. they always pushed the limit, had less than adequate equipment, and just took too many chances. In fact, the Coast Guard knew both of them by name. Since then they both have brand new boats, one being a 30 ft vessel. Her dad moved back down to Houston a few years ago, and her brother just moved down to Long Beach CA, I hope they always stay careful, we love them both.
