Congrats nitro....anything new is great. Good bike to learn on. Reason being, a guy at work who is 6'8 and has never been on a bike took the saftey couse and went out and bought a used Intruder 1500. For his first bike? That's some serious toy to learn on. Enjoy and welcome!

No I never took the course cause I always called and it was booked lol. I just went for my first ride basically ever. My cousin showed me how to ride a little bit on an old honda of his. then I took the test on my friends scooter lol. So this is my first real ride. I rode all by myself. Am I a big boy now lol? Lol My hands hurt from holding onto the handle bars so tightlyBut its fun. I could definitly get used to this

Congrats on the new Ninja! I've had my 250 for almost a year, and am very happy with it. I would like a bigger bike now, but that's just for more long distance comfort.

Just concentrate on being relaxed while riding, you want to make sure you are comfortable and looking around for the next car that wants to run you over. I know when I first started riding I would tense up and not even realize it until I started getting sore. All this will come with experience though, just enjoy the ride and be safe.

So true. Everybody gets tense the first time riding. It's important not to dwell on these feelings though. Look around, enjoy the scenery, and have fun!

relaxed riding for me is like leading the bike where to go vs tense riding is trying to force it to go.
the bike will go where you lead it and most of that can be done with a very simple shift in weight
