Default Bike update

Well I just got a call from the claims guy at state farm. They are totaling out my bike . On the upside I am getting enough to pay off the loan and put 1500 aside for the down payment of my next bike. I think I am going to wait till about march when I get my tax returns to get another bike that is if I can wait that long. Plus it gives me time to decide on want to get next. I'm waiting to see how the new ZX-10's look. If the look doesn't catch my eye then I will be looking for an 06 flat blue 636.

How much for the salvage? Could be a good track bike if there is no frame damage!

The frame from what I saw was just a scratch. The bike rode stright when I rode it home after the accident. I've always wanted the blue 636. I think I will take this chance to get something new/newish with very low miles. My bike had 27k miles on the motor.

plus I owe 4900 on the bike so I don't know if I would have enough money to buy it back after the bank gets their money for the bike.

The ins company still will sell the bike for a salvage cost, how much is it? Sometimes it may be very low like 500.00. They want to recoupe anything they can to offset the loose.

I'll talk to the shop owner Frank. He is a great guy to see if there is anything wrong with the bike other then cosmetic. If it is all fairings and like you said the buy back is low enough then Maybe I will buy it back and make it track only. I don't know if there was damage I didn't see on the bike when the shop took a good look at it.

if they totaled the bike it is most likely more then just cosmetic. But when you go to thetrack set up your going to loose alot of what is already damaged, maybe you need new forks which is good anyway.
Look into the salvage you could be scoring.

i was kinda figuring it would be totaled. ins wants the bike pre crash shape. the only thing saveable is the frame and motor. both engine and stator covers need to be replaced. they are really scuffed up but intact.
