alright, so it would be best to go to a dealership and sit on a couple then?

and what about the honda? i know this is a kawasaki forum so im sure there will be some bias but just want to be sure im making the right decision before i spend a few grand on a bike.

also what is a slipper clutch?? is that something that all bikes come with? and if not how is it different? i know this is a noob question, but well...im a noob

yes go to a dealer and sit on them, thats what i did with my wife before we bought her one

I'd go with an old ZX6R. You can get a 2000-2002 ZX6R. They are sexy!

Okay, so that's a new ZZR600, but they are the exact same bike.

they are a sweet lookin ride, i would have gotten a zzr instead if the dealer had one lol more comfortable

A slipper clutch will slip to some degree under hard decelleration in order to prevent rear wheel loss of traction I.E. wheel lockup. This is very important for track racing, but if you are going to just ride on the streets and only hit the twisties very occasionally, it would not be so important. As far as I know, slipper clutches have only been available on stock bikes for about five to ten years or so. I could be wrong about that but it's not like they have been around forever.
You have to be literally riding the hell out of the twisties to really be worried about that type of clutch. And not all bikes have them!

As far as I know, slipper clutches have only been available on stock bikes for about five to ten years or so. I could be wrong about that but it's not like they have been around forever.
check out the 89 and 90 zx7's with the back torque limiter. ie slipper clutch concept. Not fully great, but it is adjustable and worked for me. Also note the 6r clutch springs during that time getting used in that zx7 clutch. Kawi has been in the slipper clutch game for a few yrs now.
