Default Rear tire hugger on 190 tire

Hey guys
So I have a 98 zx9r and I'am in the process of changing my rear tire to a 190 from a 180, and notice my bike didn't have a rear tire hugger. I want to buy one But was unsure of it fitting over my 190 tire has anybody had any problems with this or should it fit jus fine?

Just watch your clearance to the swingarm and chain. Not a whole lot of room left once you fit that 190. As for the hugger, it depends on the brand; some have more clearance than others. Might be able to add shim at the mounting points to slightly raise the hugger arc, or shave the outer edges of the hugger. Also depends on the brand of tire for the radius clearance to the hugger. Going with plastic or carbon fiber?
Good luck!

hmm, I have not played much with the 9's. But, I would think that one size up from stock should be ok. (Remembering that each tire reacts differently at 160mph+) post up some pics and good luck on the search.
