Are 94-97 zx9 and zx7 frames the same?
Ok guys, finding a frame for my zx9has been absolutely nill , unless youre willing to fork out bike bandit prices.... would a zx7r frame work? At this rate this bike may become parts...[sm=boohoo.gif]Thanks -Josh

No direct experience, but I've heard of guys putting zx9 motors in zx7 frames. I would think they would be very similar (especially the early 94-97 models) due to the same engine platform. Just my 2-cents. Keep us posted!

Yeah man, ive heard about the swaps too, thats why im curious. I had a guy local say 700 bucks for a polished framebut man thats alot of chips, but hey that may be my only option...I had a salvage yard tell me the engine alone is worth 1000-1500 due to double demand from 7's and 9's....but I really dont wanna part it. I've got a 9R frame without a transferable title. It's clean, but the paperwork is all messed up and it's unregisterable for road use.
