2001 ZX9R water temp

Bike runs great, just noticed that temp gauge will work fine, then go blank for a couple of seconds. Pop back on, then go blank again. Would this be in the sending unit or the gauge? Any help would be appreicated.

sounds like you have a loose sensor wire or ground. Check your wiring.
