Default Electrical Problem ZX12R

Hello everyone I need help with finding out the correct wiring of the wires out of the rectifier to the stator wires on a 02 ZX12R. I replaced the rectifier and the one I replaced with came to me with the wires cut. Here is what I have 3 yellow wires coming from the rectifier and 4 wires coming from the stator. At the connector which was on the original rectifier were the 3 wires and the other side of the connector were the 4 wires coming from the stator. I thought I had connected them correct so once the bike were running the connector got hot and melted. I replaced the connector socket but I'm not sure I have the correct wires together because the yellow wires (3) get hot but it depends on which wires are connected together. I think the problem is because I don't know which of the (4) wires coming from the stator should be together. So my question to anyone on here can you tell me which wire goes with each other or how can I solve this matter. Thanks in advance..

Hello all I found out that the problem was a bad starter, which I replaced and also I had the wiring issue with the stator and recitifer which I just replaced them both. Now I have another issue with my ZX12 and I just wanted know if anyone here have any knowledge on ZX12. I have the headlight problem and I replaced the bulbs and all of the fuses but headlights doesn't come on. All the turn signals and tail light and horn works. The bike runs fine only no headlights. Just asking for any help as possible. And I'm sorry if I have posted this in the wrong place.

Have you got a multimeter? Or test lamp? see if you have power at the headlight socket and if not try the headlight switch. If still nothing next would be try both sides of the fuse. Also could be a bad earth. Don't forget to get power to the lights you will probably need to start the bike. Some do some don't (I have no personal experience with the ZX-12)
Good luck

Good morning guy I guest I'm a bit stupid when it comes to these bikes, I am not sure where or what the headlight switch looks like. Is it the same as the high and light beam on the handlebars. I have the manual of the bike and has went through it but doesn't see a picture of a headlight switch. I have check all of the relays and they seem to be good and I changed out the junction box and checked all the fuses. I have also change the headlight bulbs and check to see if there is circuit to the headlight socket. I know I must be overlooking something because I still have no headlights but the daylight come on when I turn the key on. So can someone help me here.

Sorry for the confusion, yes when I said headlight switch I meant the high/low beam switch.
