Just as you would with any other ride. Now that you will have added weight, pack your bags, do your measurements with all of your gear for rider sag, and you may end up going up a size in springs now.

 

First day riding with my new luggage - for commuting I'm only taking my side cases. The top case adds too much bulk. The side cases alone give me enough space for all my ****. I'll use the top for 2up and/or touring.

With the side cases on I can't tell any difference while on the move. I know they are there only from the rear view mirrors. Otherwise the bike does not feel any different, even at 80mph.

 

I'm sure it's a collar ring just like all other bikes. I just can't figure out where you access it.

 

I have not adjusted the 11, but I cheated on my 10r. put on the penske shock, uses a pin for easy ride height. The other bikes, I still use the spanner wrench. But found it easier to support the ride on your jack stands with drill rod going thru the swingarm pivot for support. Releases the spring tension.
