Default tire question

i have an 08 zx10 and just had the tire changed. stock size is 190/55 and my new tires are 190/50. i have done a little research on the the tire size and foung no positive feedback.. wanted to know if anyone has experienced this situation and should i be worried about my bikes performance.

thanks yall.

The 190/50 will take more effort to turn in because of the geometry change. You will need to redo your sag numbers, and lower the forks in the triple clamps to prevent pushing.

push= slower turn in, the bike running wide generally mid-corner and not wanting to keep the inside line. The term applies to both automotive and to bikes.

If you stiffened up the rear, than you must have also stiffened up the front to meet your sag numbers.

thanks i have more of an understanding now.. i think all those skills are a bit advance for me to notice since i only do street riding. but i do on planing picking up a track bike to advance my riding..
idk if its the love for michelin tires or the changes on the bike but.. i feel more confident and enjoy my changes to my bike. I rode with my gf the other day for the first time and she said the bike felt more smoother which sounded about right to me. idk if its cuz of my size bieng 6''1 210 lbs. any more info is a blessing from from you to me.. i really appreciate dragone.

Congrats on the comfy feeling. I tried the 50 series on a pirelli set. Did not pan out that well for my preferences. Post up some pics of your ride, ride safe and enjoy.
