Hi new to the forums traded my 04 gsxr600 and 400 cash on top for the zx10. It runs strong. Took it to get the valves adjusted becsuse the previous owner told me the whole engine had been rebuilt. cant always trust what people say also the valve cover gasket was leaking. Well turns out he was right. The dealer said the entire motor had been redone which is great. I have had to replace the front end plastics mirrors frame sliders slip on exhaust battery and many other things because I plan on keeping the bike forever. It has a gpr stabilizer stretched 6 or 8 inches after market sprockets. I plan on adding pciii and speedo healer. I have a two brothers slip on exhaust and air filter. I have downloaded the pciii app and the map that fits the same two mods I have. Just wanted to ask if anyone had good results with with the power commander. Definitely could tell a difference with the two brothers slip on. If I yank the throttle I spin the tire all the way up until 3rd gear its a rocket. Tire is new 2 weeks old replaced when i traded. So my question is if I install the pciii and put this map on the chip with the combined mods will I be able to add 9 to 15 hp? Will I be able to push almost 160rwhp? I'm new to this bike but love it to death. Any input is welcome but please be easy. People on the gsxr forums were complete ******.
Thanks
Joel

Welcome to KF

I have not used the pc3 downloads for my 06, but I still believe that fine tuning any engine combination even as simple as a slip on is a must. My estimate is 145hp ish. Also check out zx10r.net A real good read and most of the riders are good folk. congrats on the new ride.

Got the wind screen and the muffler bracket. Looks pretty good. Adjusted the speedo healer via the app from android using the sprocket method. I had a bigger sprocket on the back only but it was a 49 tooth sprocket and the stock is 39. Topped out at 165mph and thats fast enough for me. I know thats as accurate as it will get because my gf rode next to me and we were at the same speed eithwr 50 60 70 or 80. She didn't want to go any faster but the speedo was dead on.

So hella fast though was at 65 in 6th and yanked all the way and got up to 120 in like two seconds seriously. The bike is fast unfortunately they sent me the power commander. I have returned it and im getting the correct one.

Congrats on the new bike and good luck with it. I just picked up an 07 with 3955 miles and looking forward to the spring.
