Default ZN700-A2 or 700 LTD, 1985

I cannot find, anywhere, a Clymer, Haynes or Kawasaki repair manual for my 1985 Kawasaki ZN700-A2. It is an inline four cylinder, possibly a tariff buster from that era. I cannot tell if it is a down graded KZ750 or an upgraded KZ650. I do have a Clymer manual, M450, but one can tell it doesn't cover this motorcycle.

Does anyone know if this tariff buster was based on the KZ650? Does anyone have a repair manual for it?

I've searched by serial number as well as model number, with the same results.

Thanks. Ed Webb

Welcome to the forums.

I think, not sure, that the zn700 is the Vulcan 700, right? I think the last year of production for the zn700a2 is 1985.

try this phone number 1-800-982-4599 ......they should have the manual, and I believe it would be the 85 vulcan 700 a2 series. These guys should know or at least direct you in the right area.

GL man. get us a pic of that thing.

Thanks for the reply. It is not a Vulcan. The Vulcan is the ZN700-A1. Mine is the A2. I called the number and found them very willing to help, but unable to. I'm now going to try this famous guy in FLA who collects and sells old manuals. Again, thanks.

BTW, when ya click on the link for that "zn700 owners group", ya get an error message warning of hackers as an un-safe site & told to go back to safety.

Ed, I read it was indeed a "tariff buster" brought down from the "KZ 750" to 694. Good luck. Later, Paul. ;-
