Default whats up, new to the forums and to bikes, just bought a 97 zx6r

Hi everyone,

Im new to the forums, i just bought a 97 ZX6R from someone here on craigslist and was hoping to know some more about it. The guy i purchased it from origionally had used it as a race bike, but had fried the wiring harness (and hacked it to ****) and ****ed up some of the fairings.

I bought it for 600$ and got like 4 boxes full of extra parts that he had intended to put on, are spares, or old parts. ill need help identifying them as i plan to sell them to buy parts for the bike to get running.

Things ive been able to identify are, Shocks, trans rebuild kits, throttles, tons of sprockets, tachs, etc etc.

Ill probably be on here quite a bit asking questions about what this is, how to identify certain parts, where to get oem replacements that is nto e-bay or the dealer, where to get low cost fairings and the like. Id love to be pointed in anydirection so feel free to post back with guides for noobs and ****.

anyways, Im nick, im a mod over at anti-rice.com, im 23, i fix computers for a living, i like long walks on the beach.
