Totally new
Hi everyone. Like the title says, i am totally new to bikes. I just got my first bike on Oct. 5. It's a 92 Ninja 600. I've been trying to find information on this year, but i'm not having too much luck. Reason being is because i don't know much about it. A few things that i was wanting to know is what years fall in to the 92 generation. Is there parts that are interchangeable between my bike and other years/styles. What is my bikes potential as far as performance. I'm not really sure if this is the bike i want to build, since it's my starter bike, but that's why i want to know the potential of my bike. All of your help and suggestions is much appreciated.

Welcome.
Not a good bike to learn on. Do an MSF course before you do anything else, and as well as some basic skills you'll get a better idea of what sort of bike you should be riding for the first couple of years.

Welcome to the forums, Runs... If this is your very first bike, take your time and get some saddle hours in, before you go twiddling. 600's can get you in trouble quickly, and the last thing we want to encourage is a bad outcome. Agree on the MSF course^.
Many guys think they can "ride like Rossi" as soon as they get a bike.
Gear up; stay safe. Welcome again.

MSF is not just about safety, there is alot of really good information about the physics of motorcycling.
