ok noob question

Im new to the bike scene, so everytime i ride my ninja and a i pass another biker they but thier hand out, is this just a" hey whats up" kinda thing or am i doing somthing wrong lol.

+1, all real riders wave, those guys just bought a Harley so they could tell people they own one, and put lame stickers on their truck
