Default Newbie in Yorkshire.....

Hello All, Its back to kwaks for me. Last one was a Z550 special, (twenty years ago!). Just got something called a ZX1000B1 (1989 ZX10 is easier). Belly pan doesn't say Ninja on it, but it may have done at one point? Ninja or not? I never really followed the progression of the models, just rode them. Then got married. Hey ho. Back again. I really need a manual and bike needs a little tlc.
First shop I've been in to tell me their parts lists don't go back that far - good job I didn't ask them about my, sorry, 1980 gsx1100 then! First job fork seals, then carb balancing, shimming and maybe cam chain. Been told they are a bit susceptible at very specific intervals. All thoughts and advice welcome, especially regarding free service manuals....and I'm replacing the fork seals this weekend, one way or another. Easy way would be good. What is the air gap/ oil capacity for these forks please? Anyone got any diagrams?
Anyway, my names Andy, I'm forty seven, work for a tool manufacturer (cnc setter come fitter), and I like the old muscle bikes.
Thanks in advance for directions around your site while I find my way...

Hmmm, reminds me of a TV commercial: "...like a good neighbor, Dragone is there......"

Welcome, Robbo. Glad to have you aboard. My H-1 is only 12 years older than me. You're among friends...
Gear up; stay safe.
