Hi all... I'm new to the KF as you can tell. Just wanted you to know I'm finally riding again, well just about.. It's been a long 2 years without a bike. I just picked up a 98 KX125 over the past weekend which needs a lot of TLC which i'm excited to wrench on. I'm not new to riding but been out of the loop for awhile. My last bike was yz426f which i bought and had for 5+ years. I actually stumbled across the KF while reading along one of my other forums. So anyways i'm pumped to join the KF along with sharing and learning all the great stuff KF has to offer..
Once again glad to be here, thanks for reading.. - Mitchell aka dean426f

Hey Dean, welcome to the forums, the KX I heard was and still is a powerhouse to contend with. Weigh to power is awesome. A friend of mine just traded straight across his 2004 KX 125 for a 2004 Honda CRF 450F

Thats amazing your buddy did that swap. Now i'm excited to get out there to see what this kx can do. See i bought the bike for 800 bones but the seller was originally asking 1000 for it. after we got to talking over the phone he mentioned the bike needed new fork seals and was leaking gas too and due to that he ended up taking off 200 off the price. Man, i couldn't pass it up.. but even better the bike has front and back fmf, new plastics, new radiators, new top end and clutch plates too. I'm estimating about 300 to 400 dollars of extra money out my pocket to get this bike up to par and i'll be in great shape. Here's what i know off hand i need to do: fix the fork seals, figure out the gas leak, number plate, grips and a new seat cover. It's been a long week waiting for Saturday to come to start working on the bike.. I'll keep you all posted. I'll try to get some before and after photo's as time comes along too...

Welcome, it's always good to have more dirt bikers here. The 2/4 stroke page has been dead for awhile.
