Good choice of first bike. Make sure that you wear decent gear- girls tend to worry more about scarring from road rash, so always wear boots and gloves as well as jacket and helmet.
Do an MSF course, practise all the slow speed stuff they teach - particularly, feet up figure eights, constant throttle using the clutch and rear brake to control speed. Get that right and you'll be OK on the road and able to concentrate on the traffic.
Then enjoy the ride.
