Welcome! Like everyone else has said, Take the Class! You cannot go wrong you will learn a lot. As far as the 250 goes it is great to learn on but like many I too wanted more bike pretty quickly. Within 7 months I upgraded to a ZX7R. Occaisionally I still wish I had my 250 so I could use it to race, locally the AFM 250 class is pretty competitive. I threw that out there because a lot of people are unaware that 250's are used in road racing. And since they are limited on mods this class of racing is very competitve.
