hello everyone,

my name is leo, obviously i'm new to the forum so i thought it'd be appropriate to post a hello in the new members area. So hello haha.

Mainly i signed up to see if i can leach some knowledge about a 69 kawasaki bushmaster i just purchased. I'm super excited to get it running but i don't want to dive elbow deep without knowing what to expect. Or at least an idea. its in incredible shape and has 330 original miles on it. but its been sitting under the sun for like 10 years. My buddy that i bought it from says he think it needs a new ignition coil but theres lots of other things it could be, as well as a complete tune-up of course.

Also, whats the value of these lil guys. last i heard it was anywhere from $600 to $2000... accurate???

Welcome, Leo. We may need to do some research on the Bushmaster to be of help, but we're always happy to offer more advice than you can stand... Sounds like a great find! A complete tune up and inspection of the rubber bits is the place to begin. Make sure there's no mice nests in the intake tract before you push that magic starter button! Keep us posted on your progress.
Welcome, again.

Welcome to KF and congrats on the new ride.

As mentioned, some research is in order for me to even know what the bushmaster is! lol

Looks like a learning curve for most of us.

so far. i ordered carb bowl gasket, petcock, & handle grips. tested for spark and we're good there. i pulled carb and am gunna let it soak for a few days. it has a ton of calcium buildup. inside of gas tank is all rusted so i'll have to treat that and reseal it. Not until i hear the motor run 1st tho. then i'll do compression test. thinking about ordering new wiring harnesses and all the cables. Cables are gunna put me back about $85.
