Hi, just registered here. Less than a week ago I picked up my first Kawasaki, it's a 2009 Ninja 650R. Had an FZR600 that I traded in when I bought it. What a great bike this is! This is my first riding season... I got my FZR in January, and I'm already on my second bike. But I can already tell this relationship with the Ninja is going to be a lasting one.
Just thought I'd say hello. I'll be lurking about and asking some questions.

TK, welcome! The Fizzers were nice little bikes, but I think you'll like the Kaw a bit better. Feel free to ask away; we're glad to offer advice. Is your Kaw a "new" closeout, or does it have some miles on it? (i.e. been thru break-in period, etc.) A well-maintained bike will rarely let you down. Enjoy the saddle time, and post some pics when you can.
Welcome again!
Gear up; stay safe.

The bike has about 4.5k miles on it, so it's well through the break-in period. It was bought used. It's in exceedingly good condition though... previous owner took really good care of it.
Last I knew, some hippie was knocking me out!

Here's some photos. Was still at the dealer the day before I picked the bike up, but I haven't made any changes since:
I'll be adding some luggage accessories, a new seat, and I've got some kanji (忍者 - ninja) decals on the way. Also need to get it in for the recall work near the rear brake pedal as well. I'm going to be turning it into a small sport tourer in the next 12 months or so.
